Morocco desert trip Marrakech Fes 6 Days itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait ben haddou – Dades Valley
Departure from your hotel in Marrakech to the superb natural views of the Grand Atlas Mountain. Our first stop will be near a water source. Then we continue to stroll through the beautiful landscapes of the Berber villages of Tadart and Zarktan, Then we will enjoy a coffee break at the summit of Atlas on the great chain of Morocco. Then we descend to visit the village of Telouet and his kasbah. Following the valley of Ounila, we then arrived at the village of Ait Benhaddou to visit its charming kasbah with a local guide. After that, our trip to the Fes continues to the city of Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt. From there we will cross Skoura oases and the Valley of Roses where we stop to take nice photos. We will follow the Dades Valley thereafter towards Dades Gorges where you spend the first night in a typical Berber hotel.
Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges
We will start our journey from the Dades gorges to the Todra gorges. Boumalne to take beautiful photos of the panoramic view of the Dades Valley. We follow the road between the anti-Atlas and the great Atlas with magnificent landscapes until Tinghir. Stop to visit its ancient Jewish village. After lunch, we explore the Todra palm grove with its lucky fish. We then continue to the Todra Gorges. Discover the high gorges of Morocco. Dinner and overnight in the Todra gorges.
Day 3: Dades gorges – Merzouga Sahara desert
This morning After a short walk under the cliffs of gorges we will follow a beautiful desert road to the Sahara of Erg Chebbi. We stop to discover the oases of Jorf and Erfoud. From here we will continue towards Merzouga. We change our vehicle by camels. We ride on the back of this beautiful animal which resists the thirst of the Sahara. You will love the sunset in the highest dunes of Morocco Erg Chebbi. You will spend the night in nomadic tents observing the stars.
Day 4: Erg Chebbi dunes Merzouga desert
In the morning after your breakfast, we will discover what hides the Sahara of Merzouga. First step: we will return the camels to the village of Merzouga. Then let’s start to visit the region of Merzouga by 4×4. This visit includes a village called Khamlia; is a village inhabited by the Gnawa of the Sahara. We would discover the spiritual music and dance of the Gnawa. Afterward, we will visit a nomadic family that follows their herds of dromedaries and goats. We share a good tea with them. After that, we will see a site of engravings near the historical in Taous. this adventure also gives us an idea of the Hamada and lets us explore some black rock plateaux. At the end of the day, we return to the village of Merzouga to spend the night in a beautiful typical hotel with a swimming pool. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt
After your shower and breakfast in your hotel. We leave for the city of Midelt. Let’s see Erfoud and Errachidia then follow the Ziz valley. Afterward, we stopped in Rich Town for lunch. We then continue towards Midelt. Dinner and overnight in a charming hotel.
Day 6: Midelt – Azrou – Fes
In the Morning after your breakfast, we continue our tour towards the cedar forest of Arzou you will meet some macaques that ask travelers to eat. We later continue to your hotel in Fes where your tour ends.
