6 days Tour from Tangier Marrakech
Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen
Pick up at the airport or port, we start the road to Chefchaouen, we cross the city of Tetouan and the Rif mountains. The medina is very calm and peaceful. then visit Makhzen Square, the exterior of the Great Mosque, and the Jewish Quarter. Discovery of its craft stores. A walk in the alley with these pretty walls painted in blue and white and pretty windows. The architecture of the Medina is taken from Andalusian culture. Dinner and overnight at the magnificent Riad.
Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Moulay Idriss – Fes
We leave to travel from Chefchaouen to Volubilis the most preserved Roman site in Morocco. You will enjoy a guided tour with a local guide who will explain the history of the Romans in Morocco. later we continue our tour of northern Morocco towards the Meknes. This city located in the north of Morocco has an exciting history and an important heritage. Founded in the 11th century by the Almoravids, the summer capital of the kingdom, in the reign of Molay Issmail. It is he who will make Meknes a great city, rich and prosperous. Today, and since 1996, the entire city of Meknes is classified on the UNESCO World Heritage List. We then stop in front of the main gate of the Medina, and Lahdim Square. After a coffee, we then continue towards Fes.
Day 3: Fes – Ifran – Midelt – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga
We drive to the Merzouga desert. We will pass through Imouzzer-Kandar and then to Ifrane and Azrou where you can see the monkeys in the wild. from there, we continue towards Zaida and Midelt where we will have our lunch. we will follow the Ziz Valley. We then arrive in Errachidia next to Erfoud where we will have a coffee break. After that, we will pass through a tray of black rock to arrive at Merzouga. You ride the camels for a walk in the dunes of Erg Chebbi. You admire the sunset and spend the night in a desert camp.
Day 4: Erg Chebbi dunes Merzouga desert
In the morning after your breakfast, we will explore the Merzouga Sahara. First, we will return by camel to the village of Merzouga. Then we start to visit the region of Merzouga by 4×4. this visit includes a village called Khamlia; is a village inhabited by the Gnawa of the Sahara. We would discover the spiritual music and dance of the Gnawa. we will visit a nomadic family which follows their herds of dromedaries and goats. We share a good tea with them. After that, we will see a site of engravings near the historical in Taous. This adventure also gives us an idea of the Hamada and lets us explore some black rock trays. At the end of the day, we return to the village of Merzouga to spend the night in a beautiful typical hotel with a swimming pool. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Merzouga -Todra – Dades gorges – Ait ben haddou
We will leave Merzouga to follow another path that leads to Marrakech through oases and palm groves. , we will go through the oases of Jorf and of Todra. We stop at Todra Gorge for lunch. Then the path to Dedas amazes you with these beautiful landscapes. Photo stop in boumalne, then continuation to the city of Roses discovered distilled rose water. Continuation to the Skoura palm grove and visit the Amredile Kasbah, we pass through the Ouarzazate solar energy station and stop to see the Taourirt Kasbah. Then continue to the village of Ait ben Haddou. Dinner and overnight in a local hotel.
Day 6: Ait Ben haddou – Telouat – Marrakech
In the morning after breakfast, you enjoy a guided tour of the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. Discover Berber architecture and the history of this cultural site, where several international films are shot. Then we will follow the path to the High Atlas Mountains passing by the historical village of Telouat. Visit of the kasbah glaoui. We climb towards the summit of Tizi n Tichka. We stop to enjoy the panoramic views. Then we will travel through the Berber villages of Tadart and Tazlida. We stop in the reserve of Toufliht and the village of Ait Berka. From there we descend to Marrakech. We will drop you off at your hotel.
